The church of Holy Trinity is a neat stone building, re-built in 1833 at a cost of £1,000: it has chancel, nave, and open bell turret containing 2 bells. The churchyard is surrounded by very fine sycamore trees. The register dates from the year 1630. The living is a rectory, worth more than £600 yearly in the gift of the Bishop of Manchester, and held by the Rev. Julius Shadwell, B.A., of Baliol College, Oxford.
