By an Order in Council, gazetted on the 25th May, 1911, part of the ecclesiastical parish of Esh, St. Mich. (viz., part of Esh Civil Parish), containing 351 families (or separate occupiers) and 1,805 population at the date of the Census, was transferred to the ecclesiastical parish of Waterhouses, St. Paul.
