The church of St Michaels and All Angels is a handsome stone building in the Perpendicular style, erected in 1869 at a cost of £2,000, from the designs of G.E. Street esq. R.A. and consists of chancel, nave, south aisle, and organ chancel, with tower and spire and 1 bell; there are seats for 272 persons. The register dates from the year 1869. The living is a vicarage, net yearly value £412, with residence, in the gift of the Bishop of Chester, and held by the Rev. John Haigh Scott, M.A. of Wadham College, Oxford.
