Church

The Chapel is a plain stone structure, erected in 1823, as a chapel of ease, and will accomodate about 400 persons. It consists of a nave and chancel, with a spacious southern porch, and is lighted by double pointed windows. The pews are all open, the pulpit stands in the middle of the church, and the font is situated at the west end. The church is surrounded with a suitable burial ground, adjoining which is a commodious parsonage house and garden. The net income of the living, which is in the patronage of the rector of Stanhope, is stated at £120. Rev. George Thompson, incumbent.
