Church

St. Andrew's church, Roker, is a plain stone edifice in the 20th century style, erected in 1907 as a memorial to Mrs. Jane Priestman by her son, John Priestman esq. and her daughters; it consists of nave, chancel and aisles: there are 800 sittings. The living is a vicarage, net yearly value £555, in the gift of trustees, and held since 1921 by the Rev. William Britton B.A., B.D. of London University.
