Church

St. Mary Magdalene, Millfield, is an ecclesiastical district, formed in 1908 from the parish of St. Luke, Pallion. The church, erected in 1908, is a plain brick building. The living is a perpetual curacy, net yearly value £344, in the alternate gift of the Crown and the Bishop of Durham, and held since 1924 by the Rev. William Wright M.A. of Fitzwilliam Hall, Cambridge. [Kelly's Durham Directory (1925), page 456.]
