Church

The foundation stone was laid in 1905 when the Reverend W.A. King was Vicar of Dinnington, which included this village. Built of colliery bricks and red facing bricks. A grant from the Carnegie Trust helped pay for the organ by Harrison & Harrison of Durham but a second keyboard was never completed. [The Newcastle Diocesan Gazetteer (1982), page 55.]
